IAS Exam 2013 Result

Since the IAS exams are held in phases and you proceed to the next phase only after clearing the first or the previous exam, there are 3 results that come out before you are chosen. The first results declared are of the prelims. Then come the results for your mains written paper and then you get the final results that are a combination of the written as well as the interview test.

Gaurav Agrawal has secured the first rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2013. The results were declared on Thursday with Munish Sharma coming second and Akshay Tripathi third.
Gaurav Agrawal belongs to Jaipur in Rajasthan. There are three women in the top 10. They are Bharti Dixit (Rank 5), Sakshi Sawhney (6) and Medha Roopam (10).

The successful candidates are appointed in Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group 'A' and Group 'B'.
